Thinking vs doing
This summer, were you team Barbie or team Oppenheimer?
Husband and I were the the latter, which also happens to be the story that inspired this prompt.
Imagine if everything that Oppenheimer and his peers had theorised stayed just that - theories in a classroom.
What a world of a difference that would’ve been.
The opposite is also true: we may have developed some kick-ass concepts in our heads, but that’s very different from executing a kick-ass project in real life. There is a level of experience that comes from action, that theory can never replicate.
We can’t put thoughts and intent down on our CVs or in our portfolios. Similarly, we can’t reverse actions.
Of course, action should always be primed with thoughtfulness. But ask yourself, what are you doing to ensure your amazing thoughts lead to amazing acts?
